Meet Delaney – Summer Intern

AccessKC is excited to welcome Delaney Shields as our Marketing & Communications Intern for Summer 2025!

Delaney is currently a senior at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, majoring in Strategic Communication. She brings hands-on marketing experience from her time as a social media and marketing intern at UMKC during the spring semester.

Throughout the summer, Delaney will lead AccessKC’s social media presence, assist with onsite events, and support a range of marketing and communications projects. Her passion for storytelling, content creation, and community engagement make her a great addition to the team.

"I’m really excited to gain experience in the nonprofit sector," Delaney shared. "This is the field I’d love to work in after graduation."

Outside of work, Delaney enjoys binge-watching reality television. Her go-to shows include 1000 lb. Sisters, Love Is Blind, Love Island, and The Kardashians.
